$5 Travel Face Brush!
18 NovOne of my favorite makeup brushes I own is my forever 21 travel retractable face brush! This brush was only $4.80, and is super soft. It is very versatile and can apply blush, powder, and much more. The packaging is cute, but kind of flimsy. The lid clicks on to the bottom a bit weirdly, but I don’t think that that really changes how much I love this brush. For about $5 this is a brush everyone should have.

Naked 2 Palette
2 NovToday I am going to review one of my all time favorite eye shadow palettes, the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay! I love the colors in this palette, and use it almost every day. The Naked 2 palette is usually $50, at Sephora.com or UrbanDecay.com. I think that price is well worth it because you get 12 high quality shadows, a double sided “good karma” eye shadow brush, and a mini lipgloss. The palette first came in the box like this:
This palette has very sturdy and good looking packaging, and the mirror is nice and big. The “Lip Junkie” lip gloss in Naked (0.11oz), is a really pretty neutral medium red/pink color that I love. The double ended brush in this palette is the BEST brush I own, and I use it even in looks that I don’t use this palette for.

Shades:
Foxy: Matte creme highlight
Half Baked: Super Shimmery gold
Booty Call: Slightly metallic Matte pink
Chopper: Metallic copper with glitter in it, I like the color but not the glitter
Tease: Matte grayish lavender
Snake Bite: Dark shimmery brown
Suspect: Light Shimmery brown
Pistol: Shimmery Gray
Verve: Shimmery light brown/white
YDK: Super Shimmery light pinkish brown
Busted: Metallic Dark purple
Blackout: Super pigmented matte black
This palette is amazing quality, with tons of pretty colors. There are only three matte colors, Foxy, Tease, and Blackout. Booty call and Busted have a slight shimmer, Half Baked, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, and Verve are shimmery, and YDK is super shimmery. Chopper is the only color that has small pieces of glitter in it. All of the colors (except blackout) are light (Foxy, Booty call) or mid toned so, if you want a big variety, many matte colors, and/or a darker look this may not be the best palette for you. But, if you are like me and like a more natural look with some shine, this is the perfect palette for you. I have heard that the original Naked palette has more variation in color darkness. Also, take in to consideration that this palette has more cool toned colors, and the original Naked palette has warmer toned colors. One other thing I like about this palette and gloss is the fact that they both have a slight minty sweet smell (that is very hard to describe).

Sephora by-OPI-Living in Cin-Namon
23 OctToday I have another polish swatch for you, Living in Cin-Namon from Sephora by OPI. I bought this along with S-Age is just a number, last time I went to Sephora. Living in Cin-Namon is a really pretty sparkly reddish-brown that is perfect for fall! This is a nice polish, that took 2 coats. It went about 3 days before chipping at the tips, even with my Seche Vite top coat:-(. I geuss this is just because dark colors show chips easier. This polish is $9.50 at Sephora.com. As usual, my picture are not very good. I really need a better camera…

Sephora by OPI – S-Age is just a number
16 Oct“S-age is just a number” is one of my favorite polishes ever! Even though it looks more interesting in the bottle, it still looks really good on nails. This is a really pretty gold color, with just a hint of bronze. In the bottle it looks like it will have more blue, but the blue really only shows in the perfect light when it is on. This polish has a really nice consistency you could even get away with using just one coat! I used two, mainly just out of habit :-). Sephora by OPI is usually $9.50 at Sephora stores and on the Sephora Website. As usual, my camera couldn’t really capture the real color, so I also took a picture from the Sephora website.

31 Day Nail Challenge-Day 9-Rainbow Nails
12 OctFirst off, I just want to apologizes because my nails are soooo discustingly short. I was trying to grown them out, and then two of them broke so I had to cut them all off 😦 😦 :-(. But on to the manicure, I really like this one. The design isn’t very good for fall, but I think it is still pretty cute.
Wet n’ Wild in Everybody Loves Redmond, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Sun Kissed, China Glaze in Celtic Sun, love & beauty (forever 21) in Teal, Milani in Breezy, Sinful Colors in Let’s Talk, and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I also used a small paint brush for my polka dots.

MAC All That Glitters
9 OctA couple of weeks ago I finally bought a MAC eyeshadow, even though I have been trying to resist it for a while. I am soooooooooo in love with it. This is a perfect brownish gold color, with just enough glitter. I use this almost every day. These pictures are ok, so I got a little picture from the MAC site for you all but you really should go to a store and see it from yourself.
The color is a bit richer than in the picture
This picture is pretty good, but it has less glitter specks and more light brown.

MAC eyeshadows are usually about $15 for 0.04 0z/1.3g. It is so worth it:-)

31 Day Nail Challenge – Day 7 – Black and White Nails
29 SepI am SOOOOOO excited to show you all my nails for today! This is pretty much the first real nail art I have done (and this isn’t really real nail art, lol). The polishes I used were both from dELiA’s. Sorry my nails are super short! I put the tutorial I used to get this look down below the pic.

The only thing I did differently was paint the tips less, and use black crackle polish.

28 SepI just wanted to let you guys know about and awesome YouTube channel called Beauty Broadcast (username: emilynoel83). She has great videos on both drugstore and high-end products, and does many tutorials. There are also some really helpful videos on dupes. I love looking through all of the videos on this channel, and I highly recommend you check it out.

BLOG NEGLECT!!! + 31 Day Nail Challenge – Day 6 Violet x2
23 AugI don’t even want to know when the last time I posted was. It has been far too long:-( I promise to get on a more regular blogging schedule as I go back to school. To make it up to you all, I have a double swatch today! I also promise to have some non polish related posts… lol
My first purple (or violet) swatch is China Glaze Spontaneous. This is a really pretty plain purple without any shimmer or glitter. I first used this polish a couple of weeks back, and it stayed on for about a week with some minor chips. I really like this polish’s formula, it only took two coats to get a great color. I get China Glazes at 2 for $10 (I think) at my local Sally’s beauty.

My second Swatch for you is Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Deep Purple. The color is actually a lot more purple in person, and not as blue as in this picture. This color is very shimmery, and if you look very closley you can see red and blue shimmer specks. This a beautiful color I would recomend to everyone. I will keep you all updated on how long this lasts!
I also wanted to share a cool new kind of remover bottle that I found at CVS. Most of you have probably already seen this, but this bottle despenses the polish when you push a cotton swab on the top of it. This is very handy, and helps you get just the right amount of polish.

17 JulI’m back! Sorry I was away for a while, I will try to post as often as I can now that I am back!
I recently found a great type of hair ties that can double as bracelets. These ties are gentle on your hair, and are super cute! Most companies also make these in a headband size. I found a sets of these at Anthropologie, and they had printed and glitter ones (see below)! Many different companies make these, and they are available in a wide array of colors.

31 Day Nail Challenge – Day 4 Green Nails
6 JunFor my green nails I will be using Zoya Zuza. This is a great greenish teal, with a gold shimmer. I really only needed one coat to get a good consistency, but I used two anyway because I wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss any spots. I would defiantly recommend this color, it is really pretty and easy to use. I have been really happy with all of my Zoya Polishes (including Megan and remover+ and Elodie).

31 Day Nail Challenge- Day 3 Yellow Nails
2 JunFor my yellow nails I used China Glaze’s Celtic Sun. This is a great color, but it was very hard to apply. It took me 5 coats to get the color that I wanted, because the formula was thin and streaky. In real life the bottle looks much more neon, but the nails look almost the same. I think if I applied this color over a coat of white it color would take less coats and be much brighter.
