Sephora by OPI – S-Age is just a number

16 Oct

“S-age is just a number” is one of my favorite polishes ever!  Even though it looks more interesting in the bottle, it still looks really good on nails.  This is a really pretty gold color, with just a hint of bronze.  In the bottle it looks like it will have more blue, but the blue really only shows in the perfect light when it is on.  This polish has a really nice consistency  you could even get away with using just one coat!  I used two, mainly just out of habit :-).  Sephora by OPI is usually $9.50 at Sephora stores and on the Sephora Website. As usual, my camera couldn’t really capture the real color, so I also took a picture from the Sephora website.

PS I promise I will have some fall colors coming soon!

31 Day Nail Challenge – Day 1 Red Nails

18 May

Sorry it took me so long to start the challenge!  Here is my first mani (red nails):

This looks nothing like the real thing!  It is way less orangey in real life.

I used OPI’s Manicurist of Seville.  I really like this color.  The only problem is it is hard to apply, because if you put on an uneven coat you can really tell.  I would recommend this polish to anyone who wants just a basic red.

Marbled Nails

11 Apr

Yesterday I tried out the marble nails trend for the first time!  It was really fun.  If you don’t know what I am talking about here is a good tutorial I found on YouTube:

My observations:

The tutorial part starts at 1:10

You can use vaseline instead of tape to keep the polish off your nails

I think the pattern looks better with more than two colors

You don’t have to pick up all of the polish with the tooth pick after you put you nail on the design,  but the design won’t be as good

I started by just doing an accent nail

Polishes I used: OPI “Manicurist of Seville”, China Glaze “Awakening” Essie “Ballet Slippers”

P.S.  The polishes I used came out redder than they really are in the photos!
